Never Let Them See You Break. The Golden Repair Part 2

When life knocks you down; calmly get back up, brush yourself off, smile, and very politely say "You hit like a bitch."

A few days ago I posted an article on surviving when you finally break, when you realize you must grow from life’s attritions. I mentioned that you must be proud of the scars that forged you into a better man as I explained the concept of Kintsugi or Kintsukuroi. One topic I didn’t mention, one that is critical, is discretion.

In this hyper-connected world where everyone vents their problems in social media outlets and we get front row seats to meltdowns thanks to YouTube, people have developed a morbid pleasure from watching others failures. All I can say to this is the following.

Don’t!

Grow from your mistakes and grow from your disaster. Just don’t give those who want to break you the pleasure of succeeding. Don’t give in to those who want to change you into someone less than what you could be.

Why do you have to be like others?

Why do you have to be like they want you to be?

People will hate you, just because you remind them how weak they are. They will try to break you just because they think it will make them better by comparison. And you might break. Just don’t become what you hate when you overcome.

Smile and forgive them. Nothing will annoy them more.
Well, one thing.

You becoming better than them. Success is the best revenge.
